What’s the big deal with the All-on-X treatment?
First off, let’s make sure we’re on the same page as to what options you have.
While the All-on-X is mainly what we offer at our practice, there are still other full-mouth restoration options available - like traditional dentures or snap-in dentures.
While we don’t offer those at our practice, they are still options for you to consider!
1. Dentures: The Starting Point
If you’ve been struggling with missing teeth, dentures are often the first solution people think of. These removable prosthetics can replace a few teeth or an entire arch, restoring your ability to smile.
But let’s talk about the reality:
Dentures rely on adhesives or suction to stay in place. This means they can slip or move, especially when you’re eating or speaking.
Over time, dentures can become uncomfortable as your jawbone naturally shrinks (bone loss) without the stimulation provided by teeth or implants. When you lose the roots of your teeth in your jaw, it doesn’t give your bone a reason to stay in that area. Meaning it will shrink and atrophy over time. Unlike dental implants, a removable denture won’t act as a replacement to those roots and help give the jaw bone a reason to stay.
Dentures themselves can cost up to $10,000 when all is said and done. Remember, you’re not just paying for the denture but you’re paying for extractions, sedation, relines, etc.
While dentures are affordable, they’re not built for long-term comfort or stability. They’re a temporary x, not a permanent solution.
2. Snap-In Dentures: A Step Up, But Still a Step Short
Snap-in dentures take things a bit further by using dental implants to anchor your dentures in place.

Snap-in dentures are still removable, meaning you’ll need to take them out for cleaning.
They still sit on your gums, which can cause irritation over time.
You may require periodic adjustments as your jawbone continues to change.
It’s usually recommended to only get snap-in dentures on the lower jaw. If you do get implants on top as well, you’ll still have the roof of your mouth covered by the denture.
With such an improvement from dentures it usually means the price tag also increases. It’s of course smart to verify with your own research, but we have found that the average cost for snap-in dentures would be around $25,000 - $30,000 for the full upper and lower set from a reputable provider.
Snap-in dentures are a great improvement over traditional dentures, but they’re not the perfect solution if you’re looking for something truly permanent.

The reason the All-on-X is so expensive
We need to first understand what the basic building blocks of these cases are.
Although the All-on-X treatment is one type of procedure, there are dozens of dental codes and smaller procedures done during this process that make up the All-on-X treatment.
Think multiple extractions, reduction of bone and/or bone grafting, implant placement, abutments, fabrication of your teeth, etc.
There is a whole lot that goes into this procedure!
In order to be radically transparent, we want to show you what dental implant prices are for the zip code our office is located in: 84088
It’s West Jordan and is very reflective of what other zip codes are like.
To do this we use an amazing database called FAIRhealth. They have TONS of data and are really accurate with their numbers.
To be extremely conservative, we have priced out what each dental code for a SINGLE IMPLANT usually costs AT THE 50TH PERCENTILE!
Meaning this is the middle of the road pricing, people! We’re not even going to show what most top-tier offices are probably pricing their individual fees at (within the 70-90th percentile).
We wanted to show the cost just to replace ONE tooth with a dental implant.
TOTAL COST: $4,835 per tooth!
Close to $5,000 for a single tooth is definitely an investment. What if you had to replace 3 teeth using a 3-unit dental implant bridge? Well you’d pay for two dental implants and then a “floating” tooth in the middle - so that would be a total expected cost of about $11,000 just to replace 3 teeth.
Now take that one step further and imagine if you had to replace 12 teeth individually!
You could expect to pay over $58,000 for just one arch. THAT’S CRAZY!
Wait… Do I really have to pay that much????
